NCT 127 Receives Their 1st Triple Platinum Certification From Gaon
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while songs receive a platinum certification at 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.
On May 7, Gaon Chart announced that NCT 127’s second studio album “Neo Zone” had received an official triple platinum certification after selling over 750,000 copies since its release in March. Although the group previously went platinum with their first studio album “Regular-Irregular” and their 2019 mini album “We Are Superhuman,” “Neo Zone” is their first release to be certified triple platinum.
Meanwhile, Kang Daniel’s mini album “CYAN” was officially certified platinum after selling over 250,000 copies.
In the streaming category, both HYNN’s “The Lonely Bloom Stands Alone” and Monday Kiz’s “My love has faded away” received platinum certifications after surpassing 100 million streams each.
Congratulations to all of the artists on their impressive achievements!
